We, Unnati Institute for Social and Educational Change (Unnati ISEC) is a Maharashtra-based not-for-profit organisation committed to advancing quality education and creating pathways for inclusive and equitable development. A women-led, value-driven organisation, Unnati is a pioneer in promoting Multilingual Education (MLE) in Maharashtra’s public schools, recognising children’s languages, cultures and lived experiences as strengths for learning. Our work spans education, youth development and gender-equitable approaches, with a focus on empowering marginalised and underserved communities, particularly in tribal areas. We work closely with children, young people and adults, and collaborate with schools, teachers and partner organisations to strengthen learning, build capabilities and create the foundations for long-term change.
